Hello all

Earlier this year, when the Work in Progress Award & Cushman Late Bloomer award opened for submissions, September 15th was posted as the announcement date, which then pushed to October 15th, which then pushed to October 25th (yesterday as of this writing) with the Cushman Award announcement pushed to November 5th. I was wondering if an unusually large amount of submissions has caused this? Perhaps new website hiccups? I'm not on X(twitter) or other social media where posts are more immediate, and I believe awards are sometimes not granted. I was wondering if anyone knows what's happening?
Thanks

Debbie Vilardi

Unfortunately, this is not a question we can answer on the boards. It's up to the committees involved. You can reach out to them via the Help button on the website or any email in the contest info. I do suspect they've been trying to get conference info out, but I have no idea if one thing has anything to do with the other.

Okay, thanks Debbie. I also thought my link to the SCBWI site might not be updating properly, preventing me from seeing the announcement. As you suggest, now consumed with the conference, they may have bigger fish to fry.
